More on sp*m
BY THE WAY, just following up the post on spam the other day. It took two and a half months or so for Akismet to catch 1,000 spam comments on this blog but in the four days since I wrote that message, I have received a further 348! I knew I should have left the subject alone…
I appear to have passed some sort of threshold, and it can only be a matter of time before the weight of electrons carrying spam into my inbox reaches critical mass. At that point, gravity will kick in and any nearby websites will be sucked into this one, creating a chain reaction which will eventually lead to one big super dense blog encompassing the entire Internet.
Or not.
What’s annoying about this all is that I really wanted to work the phrase event horizon into the paragraph above but I failed.
