June will see the first book of Ume Aoki’s feel good manga.

Sunshine Sketch Volume 1

FOLLOWING THE MANGA licensing announcement by the Yen Press in December last year, I have been eagerly awaiting news of the release dates of Hidamari Sketch, which has been retitled as Sunshine Sketch for us Westerners. That distribution deal between Orbit and YP in October 2007, which means the latter’s range will be released in the UK as well, obviously arrived just at the right time!

WHILE WATCHING THE Blu-Ray rips of Makoto Shinkai’s 5 Centimetres per Second the other day (and crashing my computer multiple times in the process) I was thinking this is really really great, but wouldn’t it be nice to see it at the movies
